Described by a leading London A&R man as “Bohemian Rhapsody for the acid generation”, Gather to recycle is initially an academic exercise – to render the traditional categories of electronic composition redundant by making a track which includes hip hop / downtempo, house and drum and bass tempos all within lone track, while using the exact same sample, bass sound and drum kit across all 3 elements. Recycling the core elements in all three styles and so showing that uncommon genres of electronic composition can be defined by their similarities as much as their differences. This is yet a further College project. This time I had to make an ad for TV or cinema that would promote recycling. Considering that the only video to ever get on to me want to recycle was Type2error’s ‘Recycle’ I chose that comedy was the best approach.
