Using LED lights in homes is nothing new, especially if you are interested in green living.  What is a honestly new, is the dimmable LED light.  Finally, the lighting industry overcame the challenges and found a way to  can now get on to  dimmable LED lights.  Dimmer thrash and dimmable LED light  must  be matched for the lights to  function correctly.  Be aware that standard LED lights (intended to replace  incandescent lights) are not safe to  be used in dimmer circuits.

Incandescent lights use roughly five era as much energy as LEDs. A 12W LED bulb can be used instead of a 60W incandescent light bulb. The savings can be even higher (over 80%) if you use LED light bulbs for spot lighting, for example for to illuminate a picture.

Incandescent or fluorescent  lights are less pricey than LEDs. Overall but, LEDs do cost less, because they use much less energy and they do last so much longer.
